MATT. PASCALE & THE STOMPS
Matt Pascale is an Italian singer, guitarist, and songwriter driven by a deep passion for electric, acoustic, and slide guitar. After starting out in hard rock as a teenager, his style evolved into a rich blend of southern rock, swamp-tinged blues, and funky neo-soul.
With a raspy voice and refined fingerpicking technique, Matt embodies the spirit of the legendary musicians of the “chitlin’ circuit,” while asserting a distinctive identity shaped by his urban roots, raw energy, and singular style.
Despite his young age — and a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic — Matt has performed more than 500 shows since March 2019. His electrifying stage presence caught the attention of European Blues Union president Davide Grandi, who invited him to join the Little Steven Blues Academy in Norway. Although the registration deadline had passed, his undeniable talent earned him a late admission… and an outstanding victory.
Impressing both the Academy and the board of the Notodden Blues Festival, Matt was offered a residency in Norway, where local agents have been actively booking him across Scandinavia since 2022. His journey then led him to the Memphis Blues Foundation, which awarded him a scholarship to the PineTop Perkins Blues Academy — an honor previously granted to blues sensation Christone “Kingfish” Ingram.

Following the Academy, Matt spent two months immersing himself in the Southern U.S. blues scene, performing in Mississippi and Tennessee, including late-night shows on the legendary Beale Street.
After releasing three singles produced by Fabrizio “Fab” Grossi (Steve Vai, Billy Gibbons, Supersonic Blues Machine, Glenn Hughes, Eric Gales), he signed with French label Dixiefrog Records for his debut album Home. Backed by his band The Stomps — Matteo Magnaterra (bass), Elia Squartini (drums), and Rishi Rest Mensur (keys) — he toured European festivals throughout summer 2024 before entering Fab’s Soul Garage studio in Los Angeles to complete the highly anticipated album Home, scheduled for release in October 2025.
The album’s first single, “Home,” will be released on August 29, 2025.
