MANU LANVIN

& THE DEVIL BLUES

An exceptional singer-guitarist and showman, Manu Lanvin is now a key figure in French blues-rock.

With seven albums to his credit, including four with his power trio the Devil Blues, Manu has played over 600 concerts since 2012, including prestigious venues in Europe and the USA (L’Olympia, L’Apollo Theater, Le Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazz à Juan, Solidays, Musilac, Cognac Blues Passion, …).

Acclaimed by ever-growing audiences at Le Diable concerts, and hailed by his peers such as Quincy Jones, who regularly invites him to perform at Jazz Foundation of America galas, and Johnny Hallyday, whose shows he has opened for on numerous occasions, Manu Lanvin is the undisputed embodiment of the genre’s revival, perfecting his explosive blues rock over the years.

The album “BLUES, BOOZE AND ROCK ‘N’ ROLL” released in October 2016 earned him praise from the music press and recognition from professionals. The album was selected as one of the “Best albums of the year” by Le Parisien

His show is selected as one of the “Best Performances of the Year” by Rock & Folk magazine.

Finally, Manu is also nominated as “Best Male Performer” at the 2017 Globes de Cristal.

Then, with the album “GRAND CASINO”, released in 2019 and featuring contributions from big names on the international blues scene such as Taj Mahal, Popa Chubby, Paul Personne and Beverly Jo Scott, Manu achieves his greatest commercial success to date, hitting the physical and digital album sales charts in its first week. Le Diable and his music are among the biggest names on the French music scene.

Since then, Manu has been on the road, conquering Europe in marathon tours, while at the same time leading the orchestra of his father, Gérard Lanvin, for whom he produced and wrote the music for one of the biggest releases of 2021, the highly successful album “Ici-bas”.

The year 2024, meanwhile, will see the release of the album “Tribute to Calvin Russell”, produced by Manu Lanvin and featuring a host of guests who will revive the repertoire of this blues monument.
