ALLY VENABLE

Ally Venable is one of the most confident and compelling figures of the new generation of American blues-rock artists. Hailing from Texas, she has established herself over the past decade as an essential guitarist and songwriter in a field long dominated by men, asserting a sharp, powerful, and fiercely independent style.

Her sixth studio album, Money & Power, released in April 2025 on Ruf Records, marks both an artistic and personal turning point. More than just a record, it is a statement of intent. Through this album, Ally claims space for women in the music industry and, more broadly, in spheres of decision-making and creative leadership. The project explores themes of ambition, legitimacy, and empowerment, delivered with bold, unapologetic energy.

Recorded in Nashville alongside producer and drummer Tom Hambridge, Money & Power brings together a prestigious lineup, including Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and Shemekia Copeland. Tracks such as Brown Liquor and the title song Money & Power radiate electric tension and deliver a clear message: glass ceilings are meant to be shattered. Other songs reveal a more soulful and introspective side, highlighting the growing maturity of her songwriting.

This new album follows the success of Real Gone (2023), which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Blues Chart and confirmed her status among the leading young artists of the American roots scene. The specialized press has praised both her guitar virtuosity — often wielding her roaring Les Paul — and the evolution of her songwriting, now deeper and more assertive.

On stage, Ally Venable impresses with her charisma, intensity, and fiery playing. Her approach blends rock power, blues sensitivity, and commanding stage presence. With Money & Power, she delivers a modern, vibrant, and bold album — the work of an artist who refuses compromise and forges her own path on her own terms.
